Existential-Humanistic Therapy

Existential-Humanistic Therapy (EHT) centers on personal growth, responsibility, and living in alignment with one's true self.

It suits people seeking more than symptom management — those drawn to exploring the deeper questions beneath their struggles. Rather than focusing on diagnosis or "fixing" what's wrong, this approach helps individuals meet life's challenges and possibilities with greater self-awareness, clarity, and purpose.

An EHT approach contends that the most powerful therapy happens when we're able to bring attention to what's showing up in the room. Rather than just focusing on the "there-and-then" we'll attend to the "here-and-now" of your experience. This means getting in touch with emotions in the moment.

I'll  encourage you to slow down, giving you the space needed to get in touch with yourself in a way that's not often accessible in your day-to-day. As you become more aware of patterns that interfere with your ability to express yourself, honor your needs, or develop meaningful relationships, you'll likely notice new pathways that will allow you to feel more alive, empowered, and achieve greater self-esteem.

Reflecting on your relationships and your sense of connection with others is a foundational component to the existential-humanistic approach. You can expect me to bring awareness to our relationship during our time together. This relational element allows us to gently explore internal experiences and relational dynamics, similar to those you may see in your outside relationships,  in the safety of our therapeutic space.
