About Me

Education
I attended Palo Alto University for my undergraduate, earning a B.S in Psychology and Social Action. From there, I completed my Masters degree in Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University, and became licensed in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist (Rachel Marie Alexandra Costella, LMFT #132716).

Clinical Experience
With over a decade of experience in mental health, I have worked extensively with youth, families, and diverse communities, building meaningful connections across a wide range of cultural and life experiences. My training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT) has strengthened my ability to support adolescents and adults facing challenges with emotion regulation, high-risk behaviors, and treatment-resistant depression and anxiety. Across both community and private practice settings, I have provided comprehensive parent coaching and skill-based interventions, empowering caregivers with practical strategies to support their children’s growth and well-being while fostering stronger, more connected family relationships. At the core of my work is a relational approach, grounded in the belief that meaningful connection is essential to growth and healing..
